On behalf of the local organization committee, the 7th IPFC and several other co-sponsors of this conference, the 7th Indo-Pacific Fish Conference was held in Taipei, Taiwan in 2005. It was a great honor and pleasure to have all the participants joined the conference. Your participation and cooperation had made the conference being so successful as well as enhancing the opportunities of international collaborations and the potentialities of future fish biodiversity researches. Your continuous encouragement and compliment sent after the conference were also sincerely appreciated. Convened every four years, the previous Indo-Pacific Fish Conferences have been held in Sydney, Tokyo, Wellington, Bangkok, Noumea, and Durban. The 8th IPFC will be held in Perth, Australia in 2009. Looking forward to seeing everyone again by then!
