initial-phase In sequentially hermaphroditic species, the color pattern characteristic of smaller sexually mature individuals. Usually, though not always, less gaudy and complex than the terminal-phase pattern developed in most cases following sex change.　
起始階段的 在依序雌雄同體的種，比較小性成熟個體的顏色模式。雖不總是如此，但通常比較不如大部份例子性轉變後的最後階段模式般的豔麗與複雜。
