clinolimnion That part of the hypolimnion of a lake in which the rate of heating falls exponentially with depth.　
變溫層 湖庫達到某一水深時，縱深水溫會有明顯的分層現象，介於表水層和下水層間有一明顯的溫度傾降率，此一水層為湖庫上下水溫之分界層，稱為 變溫層。
