ebb current The movement of a tidal current away from shore or down a tidal stream. In the semi-diurnal type of reversing current, the terms greater ebb and lesser ebb are applied respectively to the ebb currents of greater and lesser velocity each day.　
落潮流 潮汐的水流運動，遠離海岸的水流，在半日潮類型、大潮及小潮指每日之流速有大小之分，每天海水面也有高低、向外流之潮水及高低潮位之差別。
