intertidal Shore area between high- and low-water marks; shallow areas along the shore and in estuaries that are alternately exposed and covered by the tides. Many juvenile fishes are regularly found in this area. Some amphibious fishes live permanently in this zone, others are occasional visitors. 　
潮間帶 高潮和低潮線之間的海岸區域；淺灘區域沿著海岸與河口交界處，那是暴露及蓋著潮水的。許多幼年的魚經常發現於這區域。一些兩棲的魚永久住在此區域，其它是偶然的訪客。
