Characteristic	Pectoral fin well developed. Fin-rays segmented; upper lip folded with groove. Rictus in advance of rear margin of eye. White spots on lateral-line pores from head to body behind. Teeth small, premaxillary teeth not protrude when mouth closed. Teeth conical; upper and lower ⁊aws teeth in a row; vomerine teeth conical, in short band. Dorsal fin origin behind tip of pectoral. Vertebrae 142-148. Total length 10.5 of body depth, 5.9 of head length; caudal length 1.3 of the length from head to trunk; head length 4.5 of snout length; snout length 2.0 of the diameter of eye; Pectoral lenhth 1.5 of snouth length. Rear of caudal compressed. Anus on anterior half of body. Body brown, pale below.
