Characteristic	Dorsal fin with X-XI spines and 11-13 soft rays; Anal fin with II spines and 9-11. Dorsal spines more strong. Radial gray stripe parallel with rays Inside pectoral fin. With bladder. Body color variable, body side with gray oblique stripe. Caudal fin with gray color and dark edge.
habitats	Inhabit demersal marine environment. Found in sheltered muddy estuaries to deep offshore in mud-sand habitats. Buries itself during the day in the substrate and is rarely observed, except when found by accident or at night. Maximum size 11cm TL.
Distribution	Indo-West Pacific: Papua New Guinea, Taiwan, the Arafura Sea and Indonesia.
Utility	Not commercial food species.
