paratype According to the Code, one of any number of specimens, in addition to the holotype, used by the original namer of a species in formulating his or her description of it; a specimen, other than the holotype, on which the description of a new species is base.　
副模式 根據命名規約，一個模式系列中除了正模式之外的每個標本，這個標本被最初命名者使用以明確地做為他或她的描述；除了全模之外的一件標本，藉著它建立起新種的描述。
