lay on back An elasmobranch reproductive behavior where the female is motionless and rigid with back to the substrate and pectoral fins outstretched; also called 'lying on back' (Ref. 51111). In males, after the 'grasp', the male rolls over on his back, then both sharks remain motionless, side-by-side on the substrate. At this time, according to Ref. 51111, the right clasper, the one closest to the female, is inserted into the female's cloaca. 　
背面躺下 板鰓類的生殖行為，雌魚不動且僵硬的背對底質，胸鰭展開的；也稱作"以背面棲息"(參考文獻 51111)。雄魚則在"咬住"之後，會翻轉背部，然後兩者保持不動，並肩停在底部。此時，根據參考文獻 51111，正確的交接器，即最靠近雌魚的交接器，會進入雌魚的泄殖腔內。
