divergence Upward movement of deeper waters in open ocean ecosystems attributed to the divergent movement of surface waters, i.e., away from the area where the upwelling water reaches the surface (= oceanic upwelling zone), also: the evolutionary process of branching lineages. 　
輻散作用 在開放性海域中，表面水體遠心移動，而使較深的水體可以上升至表面：亦指演化中，分枝世系的形成。
