flexion larva A fish larvae at the stage of development when the posterior end of the vertebral column starts to bend upwards, as a preparation for the development of the caudal fin; marks a mid-point in larval development when also fin rays start to appear.　
彎曲仔魚 發育中後端椎骨開始向上彎曲的仔魚，此時為尾鰭發育的預備期；此時鰭條也開始出現，可視作幼體發育階段的中間點。
