Characteristic No scale, pectoral fin present. Upper jaw longer than lower jaw. Premaxillary teeth 2, small; lower jaw teeth in one row, large canine teeth; vomerine teeth five. Premaxillary teeth and vomerine teeth are all compound teeth, dorsal fin origin before the pectoral fin.119-130. Total length 15.6 of body depth, 7.4 of head length; caudal length 6.7 of the length from head to trunk; head length 5.1 of snout length, snout length 3.3 of diameter of eye. Rictus behyond rear margin of eye. Eye small, caudal present, tail end truncate. Trunk length shorter than head length. Body gray, pale below, dorsal and anal white.
habitats Demersal fishes; inhabit in 100 to 400 meters deep, feed on small fishes, crustaceans and other invertebrates.
