Distribution Indo-West Pacific: southern Japan, East China Sea and Taiwan. Taiwan: South, Hsiaoliuchiu, Penghu, North, East, North-East, West. 
Utility Commercial fishery and aquarium species. Cultured and released for fishery in Japan.
