Characteristic	Dorsal fin single, spine strong, 4th and 5th longest; anal fin small, same form as dorsal, 2nd strong. Pectoral fin mid-long. Caudal fin forked. Body silver grey, bodyside basic fin dark with spot band. All fins dark or light grey, dorsal fin and caudal fin black edge.
habitats	Young individuals are frequently found in brackish waters. Commercially cultured in Japan. Inhabit demersal/brackish marine environment. Attains max size 4.5cm SL.
Distribution	Northwest Pacific: endemic to the Ryukyu Islands including the Amami Islands in Japan.
