Characteristic	Dorsal-fin rays 106-111; anal-fin rays 84-89; pectoral-fin rays 13. Upper jaw 2 times in head length. All upper-jaw and lower-jaw teeth confined to blind side. Upper profile nearly straight above and behind eye. Body flat; but not long and thin ; Edge of body untransparented. Head length 5.56 times in standard length; body yellow brown.
habitats	Found in sandy and muddy areas of the continental shelf, also found on deep sea area. Feeds on benthic animals.
