Characteristic	Dorsal-fin rays 59-62; anal-fin rays 50-53; pectoral-fin rays 8-12. Body depth 3.8 to 4 times in standard length. Upper-jaw length 3.6 to 3.7 times in head length. Lateral line undeveloped. Dorsal and anal fins with no black spots.
habitats	Known from depths of 216 to 700 m. Feeds on small bottom-living animals.
Distribution	Indo-West Pacific: Indian Ocean, Taiwan, and Timor; northwestern Australia. Taiwan: West.
Utility	Rare species. Apparently not marketed.
