Characteristic Dorsal fin with XII spines and 9 soft rays; anal fin with III spines and 5 soft rays; pectoral fin with 19 soft rays. lateral line scales 22-24. This species have 19 soft rays in pectoral fin, is the most numbers as the special one. With antenna near nasal is the obvious character. Body color with dark brown reddish, and with irregular blotch. Appearance variation with individuals.
habitats Inhabits demersal marine environment, depth range 80 - 200 m. Found on the continental shelf; in sandy mud bottom. 
Distribution Indo-West Pacific. Taiwan and soutn Japan. 
Utility Not commercial food species, edible, palatible. This species can be found in fish market of south Japan.
